Adult Sunday School Classes

(9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m.)
 
Lectionary Bible Study 
(meets in the Church Library)
 
Follows the Protestant Lectionary of weekly Bible readings. The group, of mostly mature women, reads and discusses the assigned Bible passages with an eye on understanding the scripture in the context of the original writing, the current world, their daily experiences, and their faith. This class meets in the library.
 
C.S.I.: Christian Scripture Investigation 
(meets in Room #5)
 
Mission is to perform a detailed study of the Bible, book by book, over the course of four years. This class rotates teachers and there are lively, engaging discussions. they have active fellowship and care for their members with periodic social functions. They also participate in mission outreach. 
 
Men's Bible Study 
(meets in the Pastor's Office)
 
Follows the Adult Bible Studies curriculum study guide, which covers both Old and New Testament passages. They read the weekly scripture selection, reflect on what it meant in biblical times, then bring it forward to present day to determine the meaning in their own lives. 
 
New Community Class 
(meets in the Church Parlor)
 
This class of couples and singles of all ages is studying the New Community Bible Study Series. We were created by God for community. Through the study of God's word, we learn how to take its truths and live it in our everyday relationships with others. 
 
"Middle Ground" Class
(meets in the Fellowship Hall)
 
Adults in their twenties through early 40s, some married, some with young children. Have done a general survey of the Bible as a whole, basic theology, and are now studying the book of Matthew in depth.
