Pastor Toni Ruth was blessed to be born and raised in the North Carolina Mountains in the village of Linville Falls. It was in a small rural United Methodist church that she first heard the stories of Jesus that transformed her life. She graduated high school from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham and then attended UNC – Chapel Hill, graduating with a degree in History. Having committed her life to Christ, Toni Ruth heard a call to ministry and attended Duke Divinity School for her Master of Divinity degree. Since graduating, she has served as Associate Pastor at First UMC, High Point and as the Pastor of Hopewell UMC, in Trinity. Toni Ruth was ordained an Elder in the UMC in 2005.
Pastor Toni Ruth is passionate about spiritual formation and inviting individuals to a deeper walk with Jesus, through worship and study. She loves planning and leading worship and opportunities to offer pastoral care to those in transition or crisis. She is the wife of Pastor Wesley Smith and together they have been blessed with 2 beautiful children. Their appointment as Co-Pastors of Harrisburg UMC is the answer to much prayer and they are excited about sharing their life and this ministry together.
 Pastor Wes grew up in Enochville (just north of Kannapolis) and was an active member of Bethpage UMC. He answered God's call in to ministry as a high school junior. After high school, Wes attended Appalachian State University and then seminary at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He served 8 years in youth ministry in Tucker, Ga. and High Point, NC and served for 3 years as the pastor of Johnsontown UMC in Thomasville, NC. Wes was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2008. He is passionate about teaching and preaching, leading people to a deeper walk with Christ, and equipping leaders in the church to perform the work of ministry. Wes is blessed beyond measure to be married to Toni Ruth and to be the father of two wonderful children. He is also blessed to be able to work with his wife in serving God and the church.

The Chancel Choir meets every Wednesday at 7 pm in the sanctuary. We sing an anthem every Sunday at the 11 am service. We present a Christmas Cantata the Sunday before Christmas at the 11 am service and an Easter Cantata on Easter Sunday at the 11 am service.
