Looking ahead to Summer Sunday School

June 17th - Aug. 19th @ 9:45 a.m. -- Age 4 through 6th grade

The children's ministry team has decided to bring all of the children together this summer and hold Sunday School in the Fellowship Hall. Our theme is Fruits of the Spirit.

We will have a variety of activities for the children to do each Sunday.  There will be a bible lesson along with an object lesson, music, craft, etc..

Together we can create a fun learning experience for our children this summer.  I hope you will prayerfully consider helping "plant seeds" for good fruit in our HUMC kids!

nullBible Basics

“It’s too big to read…

I just don’t understand it…

I don’t even know where to start!”

These are common reactions for a lot of us when it comes to reading the Bible. And it’s true – reading the Bible can be very confusing, even intimidating for some of us! But for disciples of Jesus Christ, it is absolutely essential to read God’s Word and allow the Spirit to speak to us through what we are reading.

If you’ve ever struggled to understand what you’re reading or even if you’ve never even really tried to read it, our upcoming Bible Basics class is for you! Every Sunday in June, we’ll be meeting in the Sanctuary during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45). And even if you have a lot of experience reading the Bible, this class is for you, too! It never hurts to be re-introduced to the basics!

1.June 3rd – What is the Bible and Why Should I Read It?

2.June 10th – The Big Story of the Bible

3.June 17th – Common Myths About the Bible

4.June 24th – Reading the Bible as Disciples of Jesus
