CVAN Christmas Project
November 10 - December 12
CVAN provides safety, shelter, and support for battered women and their children. Each Christmas, we have the opportunity to help them share the joy of Christmas with the families they serve. Last year, we were blessed to join with others in helping 114 women and children with gifts, food, and supplies. With Christmas quickly approaching, we’re inviting you to join us in helping out again!
The CVAN Giving Tree will work a little differently this year, but we’ll still have an opportunity to share some Christmas joy with some of our neighbors!
This year we are inviting you help us decorate our Giving Tree by committing to buy a gift card to places like Walmart, Target, or Kohl’s and return them to the church. These will be given to the CVAN staff so they can shop for the families they serve.
Here’s what you do:
- Starting on Sunday, November 14th, you can pick up a Giving Tree slip in the narthex before or after worship, which will include suggestions about where to purchase a gift card and a reminder to bring the gift card to the church by Sunday, December 12th.
- After picking up the slip, you can hang an ornament (which will provided) on our Giving Tree. This will be a visible reminder of the joy and love we’re sharing with our neighbors!
- Gift cards will need to be returned to the church by Sunday, December 12th. Someone from our Missions Team will be in the narthex to collect gifts cards starting on Sunday, November 21st.
Thank you for making someone’s Christmas a little bit brighter and for sharing the love of Jesus!
