Tuesday, February 27th,\u00a0 <\/span>6-7<\/b><\/p>\n Come meet Forrest Brown our music director, and learn about the future of music at HUMC.\u00a0 <\/span>Share your hopes and dreams<\/b> that will help us to grow and expand the music in worship and in other areas of church ministry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n There will be demonstrations and a chance to sing<\/b>.\u00a0 <\/span>Try out a Handbell to see how easy it is. \u00a0 <\/span>No need to be a professional, all you need is a joy for music. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Right now we have the Chancel Choir\/Praise Team, with a handbells & youth choir on the horizon and\u00a0 <\/span>let\u2019s not forget Testify (the children\u2019s choir).\u00a0 <\/span>The modern world is one where people are increasingly isolated. Singing has been central to religion as a way of connecting us. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Recent research reveals that group singing helps\u00a0create social bonds.\u00a0 <\/span>People feel valued and make friends. As our horizons are broadened our social interaction is improved.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t forget, there\u2019ll be cake & ice cream. <\/b>Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 27th,\u00a0 <\/span>6-7.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> All are invited from middle school to 101!\u00a0 <\/span>If you play an instrument bring it along.
