Fighting Hunger Locally and World Wide Event

Two events same day, same place Help us Stop Hunger both Locally and World Wide

1.  Supporting Harrisburg Crisis Assistance Food Pantry

HELP FILL THE SHELVES
10 am – 1 p.m. In the HUMC Grove
Bring a Non-perishable Food Items
Free Hot dogs, Bounce House, Games and Music
Let us join as a community to support and to help our neighbors in need

2.  Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing event

10 am – 12 am. in the church Fellowship Hall.

Rise Against Hunger is an organization that provides meals to those experiencing food insecurity all over the world as well as those affected by crisis and natural disasters. We will be working together to pack 15,000 meals and there is a job for everyone, whether you’re age 3 or 103! Please use the link below to sign up to help us. Our goal is 60 volunteers so please share this information with friends and family as well. We will need some strong volunteers to help with set up at 8:30am, as there are 50+ lb bags of rice and soy that need to be unloaded from the truck. Harrisburg UMC wishes to embrace our community in Christian Care. This combined event of supporting both Local and World Hunger is a first step.  Letting our community know we are a church that serves and invites all to join us, whether a mission project, worship service or a place to rest and reflect.   HUMC is here to welcome all!
