United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men's group at our church ranges in size from 12 to 20 of our adult male members. We are basically a service organization and help run the church and parish building operations. Our activities are open to all adult men in our church.

Here are a few of the Christian service projects UMM conducts:

  • Assist Habitat for Humanity or the Western N.C. Methodist Disaster Relief with our construction skills
  • Visit the Jackson Training School each month to minister to the youth and celebrate Birthdays
  • Run the annual Christmas tree sale as our major fundraiser
  • Host an annual fish fry on Good Friday

Some of our funds go to support church mission and youth activities and some is disbursed to charitable organizations in our community.

We meet the first Sunday of each month in the fellowship hall for breakfast at 7:30 am. A home cooked breakfast is only $5, but all first timers eat free. We hold a brief business meeting after the meal and are finished in time to attend early worship service if you choose.
