Summer Book Club
July 14 @ 10:00 am - July 28 @ 11:00 am
Book Club meeting dates:
July 14, 21, and 28, 10 a.m.
Zoom ID: 848-9159-8689
The book we’re reading is “I’m Still Here” by Austin Channing Brown. It is available on Kindle, Nook, Audible, and in hardback (Amazon has it). This is a memoir about race in America. My hope is that we can start listening to different voices and be willing to hear things we may need to hear in our day. Instead of meeting once to discus, we will cover a few chapters at a time so we can digest and talk.
The plan is as follows:
- July 14 – Chapter 1 though 1st Interlude (“Why I love being a black girl”)
- July 21 – Chapter 6 through 2nd Interlude (“How to survive racism in an organization)
- July 28 – Chapter 10 -14
Even if you’ve never joined us for Bible Study, you are welcome to jump in and read with us! We’d love to have your voice in the conversation. If you have questions or concerns let me know!
In God’s Peace,
